Diabetes Foot Disorders

  • December 21, 2020

Getting too much glucose (aka sugar) in your blood for a long period can cause some serious effects if you have diabetes, such as foot disorders.
Two conditions that can influence your feet can be caused by diabetes:
Neuropathy with Diabetic.
Your nerves can be affected by unregulated diabetes. You cannot experience heat, cold, or discomfort there if you have nerve injuries in your legs and feet. This loss of sensation is called "sensory diabetic neuropathy." If, because of neuropathy, you don't notice a cut or sore on your foot, the cut may get worse and become infected. The muscles of your foot can not function properly because the muscles are weakened by nerves. This could result in your foot not aligning properly and putting too much pressure on one section of your foot.
Vascular Peripheral Disease.
The circulation of blood is also impaired by diabetes. It takes further for a sore or cut to recover without sufficient blood circulation. Poor blood circulation is called "peripheral vascular disorder" in the arms and legs.
